Border

The leader trots over to his border, gazing out into the rippling waves.

IcyBreeze glanced at her leader. She bowed her head and marked her sceny.

He glances at IcyBreeze, smiling slightly.

"What do you think of the clans?" She asked, curiously.

The she-cat pads down to the border, smiling at the others.

Stealth had been wandering for quite sometime. Her kits were due any day now. She had hopes the cats here would help her. Seeing a group of cats she cautiously pads closer. "Excuse me. Can you help me?"

Dawn padded up to the border and gazed over to the loner territories of the sun drown place. She thought of Hornet and Rust, and wondered if they even noticed she was gone or missed her. The young she-cat missed them, but she was glad to have a clan. She shook her head and padded back to camp.

The great, dark tom snarled as he approached the border, swinging his large head around looking for a clan cat. Thick, long scars scrawled themselves across his face, and one right over his left eye. His large claws remained unsheathed, chipped, large, and threatening.

Dawnpaw noticed the loner scent from a bit away, and went over to look. She stayed hidden best she could, but her white and orange pelt wasn't the best for stealth. The six moon old she-cat stayed hidden the best she could, and looked at the threatening rouge. Glad I didn't meet him when I was alone... She thought.

The tom swiveled his snout towards where the apprentice was. He smelled something. It smelled disgusting... Must be a clan cat. The hallowed yellow eyes saw a flick of white. "Hello, there." A smirk crawled onto his face.

Dawnpaw jumped at the loner's mood. "Hello." She mewled in response, realizing she failed to stay hidden. She hoped she still had a small bit of her loner scent.

The large, muscley, scarred tom, stepped closer. "Are you a clan cat, little one?" His large claws clicked against one another as he stepped forward. He sat down and curled his tail around them.

Dawnpaw backed away from the other tom, uncomfortable with him so close to her. Now she was hoping with all her heart she didn't smell like Rillclan yet.

He smirked as he studied her. "I'm not after you, tiny one. Have you seen a she cat?... Pelt as white as snow. Her name I believe is Fallen." His yellows eyes glinted angrily when mhe meowed the name. He clenched his teeth.

"N-no Fallen in my Clan..." She managed to stutter to the tom. "Maybe in one of the others though." Dawn wished the snow was still falling, as she could just vanish if it was.

SalmonSplash - a glossy she-cat trotted down the border. She paused to sniff the air then continued marching along.

A beautiful pale silver shecat with a sleek, glossy pelt slithered across the border. Her icy blue gaze darting around for signs of danger.

Dawnpaw, a small white and orange apprentice, had finally caved in after staying in Camp for so long. As soon as she neared the border, the six moon old she caught sight of the loner. "You're not supposed to be past that scent line!" She mewled loudly, dashing towards the loner. At the last moment, she slid to a stop in front of the silvery she.

She jumped back letting out a soft gasp of fear. She didnt mean to. She took a few steps back and crouched down her icy blue eyes making her look scared and innocent. She was about apprentice size, definatly not full grown.

The six moon old apprentice stumbled a few steps before regaining her posture. Dawnpaw was not the most graceful cat. "Can you please not pass the scent? It marks my Clan's territory." She mewled to the other she. It was quite obvious the orange and white cat was just barely an apprentice.

Frostpaw wandered nearby as well, behind the cover of bushes. Peeking out of the bush, she approached cautiously. "Who are--?" She murmured under her breath. She gulped down nervousness and approached the border as well, but did not come too close. "What are you doing? Can't you smell the border?" Frostpaw said quietly, her one green eye on the right side and her blue eye both shimmering. In one sniff, it was obvious this apprentice-sized she-cat was once from TempestClan. The clan's scent clung all over her snowy white fur, and the scent of herbs hovered over her as much as TempestClan smells did. Looking to the apprentice, she scented the air, and smelled RillClan. Hmm, that new clan I heard about.. interesting. Frostpaw thought, tilting her head to the side as she was also curious how this dispute would unfold. Was the apprentice brave enough to scare the loner off of her territory? She saw the loner cower in fear, and her shoulders drooped in sympathy. Hearing the apprentice's words, she was surprised. Padding to the right, she settled down to a sitting position beside a bush.

"I-im sorry" she said quietly her voice quaking. "I was just hungry.. I dont know how to hunt" she said in hesitation at giving away her weaknesses.

Frostpaw widened her eyes. How had this she-cat survived? Frostpaw approached once again, coming completely into view as her bright white pelt stood out beside all of the dark green colors of the forest. "Apprentice, are you going to chase her out? She seems to be no threat--although I would tell your leader to reinforce your scent markers." She said, confidently standing near to the loner, but being behind the border.

Sorrow's eyes widened as she looked at the white shecat. She was afraid of being attacked, she didnt mean to almost cross the border! She just wanted prey or food to eat. She lived off of stealing, prey getting killed by natural causes, and sometimes carrion which would often make her sick.

"Er.. Um... Am I supposed to? And as for my leader..." Dawnpaw's mewl was extremely small, as she was getting flustered.

Looking down to the loner, she sighed. "Listen, if you leave her alone, I will make sure she doesn't cross the border again. I do not know her, but I will help her hunt and make sure she doesn't steal prey from you accidentally, or anything. Please don't hurt her." Frostpaw meowed, and protectively stared the apprentice straight in the eyes.

Dawnpaw flinched slightly when the loner looked straight into her green eyes. "I can't exactly do anything anyway... I'm barely an apprentice..." She whispered, her inexperience quite obvious.

"Actually, you could if you were one of those really tough, proud ones. But I don't like those kinds of cats." She said, and put her white tail tip on the loners shoulder to try to signal for her to move away from the border.

She quietly backed up but stayed in her cowering stance. She looked pitiful. Unlike her giant, calm, skilled brother Terror which made her heart ache when she thought of her lost brother.

"Listen, I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable. I was only a medicine cat apprentice, I wouldn't fight you if I wanted to. Anyways, tell your clan leader like I said before, and you can get on with your day and whatever you want to do. I mean no threat to you or your clan. I must say, you approached the loner bravely. She could have been a skilled fighter that could easily defeat you, but you defended your territory despite this chance. I respect that." The light she-cat mewed to the apprentice, seeing her nervousness.

"You were the medicine apprentice of which Clan?" Dawnpaw asked, tilting her slightly. The young apprentice was rather curious about this cat.

"Oh, yes, I forgot, you probably didn't know me before at gatherings." She said, with a flick of her ear. "I'm Frostpaw. I belonged to TempestClan, Silverlight was my mentor.. if you've ever met her." Her eyes dulled with sorrow as she spoke, and it was clear the pain of being apart from her clan was still fresh in the young cats mind. "I.. I left. But I can't find him. I can't smell his scent anywhere and I don't know where he's gone or if he's even alive. Maybe I'll die out here, as a loner, but my heart and spirit will always be with TempestClan. That is my true home, and I sleep well every night knowing that I will eventually walk beside my clanmates again--whether in StarClan, or in my life. I will at least help one cat. I want to guide someone so that they can live too." Frostpaw surprised herself at how much she was telling this young cat. She had just met her, and yet she still clung to the ways of a medicine cat--medicine cats would be out of clan disputes. Their purpose was to help the clan survive by healing them with herbal remedies. "So, now you know my past. I've been out here for a few moons, I think, and I just want to find my brother, and survive. So, I will not cross the border and I will not take any prey, I promise you and your clan that." Frostpaw meowed, and twitched her white whiskers.

Suddenley she lifted her head. "Your looking for your brother?" She said quietly. "I'm looking for my brother Terror" she said looking at the white shecat.

"Oh.. I only went to one Gathering... Before that I was a loner." Dawnpaw mewled to Frostpaw.

"I see. I wasn't actually born in TempestClan.. I was a loner too as a kit. Before this.." Sadly, she lifted her left hind leg a bit. It was scarred and slightly twisted, and it had many scratches as well. "A monster did that. And it, as well as the twoleg dog that was chasing us, also separated me from my brother. All the twolegs do is hurt cats. I don't understand how kittypets love their twolegs so much. It's mouse-brained." Frostpaw said, with a grimace on her face. "I guess it's healing a little, I can put some weight on it. But not much."

"Oh... I was born a kittypet. My twoleg was nice I guess, but being in the forest is much better." She mewled in response to her. Dawnpaw didn't quite understand why the forest cats disliked kittypets so much, and it kind of annoyed her from time to time.

Frostpaw blinked, apology in her expression. "I didn't mean to say that kittypets were. Just.. the fact that they trust their owners. No offense. It's just.. I would never be one because of what they did. I just don't understand them, I guess." Flicking her tail, she sat down, curling her white tail around her paws.

"A two leg started the fire that separated me from Terror and burned my parents alive. They did it on purpose. They're monsters. I saw them watching" she said in a low voice.
