Howlingstar padded up to the fresh-kill pile with a plump brown rabbit. He dropped it down onto the pile and frowned in disappointment- the pile seemed so low. He dashed back away, eager to hunt.

Watching to make sure the elders and everyone else ate, Firepaw strode up to the fresh kill pile, his tail swishing through the air slowly. "Finally!" He muttered under his breath, and he lowered his head to grab a fat mouse from the stock. He settled down beside the heap of prey, wrapping his tail around his paws and setting his mouse down. He took a large bite of the creature, and chewed. Gulping down that bite, he took another, and another, until he finished the mouse. Sweeping the bones away, he gave out a large yawn, his belly contently full. He rested his head against the ground, his fur brushing the dirt underneath him.
