Sand's ceremony

HowlingStar padded up to the Hightree, "All cats old enough, please gather beneath the Highrock for a clan meeting!" He peered down to his clan-members. "Spirits of StarClan, you know every cat by name. I ask you now to take away the names from the kit you see before you - Sand, for it no longer stands for what she is. By my authority as Clan leader, and with the approval of our warrior ancestors, I give this kit a new name. From this moment on she will be known as SandKit, - a new kit, soon to be apprentice of SombreClan for she has chosen to strip her old life and begin anew as a clan-cat." The tom smiled and leaped down from the Highrock.

"Sandkit! Sandkit!" The warrior chanted, her amber eyes full of warmth.

Sandkit had joined the clan and hadn't yet seen her mother return for her so she has chosen to stay with the clan and train in the ways of the warrior code once she becomes on age in a few moons. Sandkit looked up at the leader and smiled at him. "Yay I'm in the clan."

"SandKit! SandKit!" The fawn colored deputy cheered and tilt her gaze towards the new kit. "Well done," she said, "You're officially in the clan."

"Sandkit, Sandkit!" Wishy yowled out the new kits name, her hazel eyes glowed with warmth to the young kit.

"SandKit! SandKit!" An almond colored apprentice cheered, her pale green eyes fixed on the new kit with interest. "Welcome to the clan," Islandpaw meowed. The apprentice remembered meeting the kit for the first time in the camp.
