Silverlight's den

Silverlight opened here eyes and yawned. After getting up she walked to where she stored the herbs and decided to sort them. "Burdock roots, cobwebs, horsetail..." She muttered to herself.

RevealedStar poked her head in. "Hello, SilverLight. How are you?" She smiles, warmly.

Silverlight looked up from the herbs shs was counting when she Revealedstar greet her. She smiled. "Hello Revealedstar. I'm doing fine. Although I am starting to wish I had an apprentice." The medicine cat replied.

She smiles and flicked the medicine cat at her nose in a playful manner. "Too much things to do, hm? Hopefully, we can find you an apprentice soon."

OOC: I'll be an apprentice, if you'd like! I was going to make a new character anyways XD. Let me know if you want me. :3

FrostPaw stepped in. "Hello Silverlight. Do you need any help?" The apprentice asked, smiling.

OOC: I was just approved by HowlingStar as your apprentice if that's alright with you.

Ooc. It's fine. Yes! Apprentice!

Silverlight looked over at her new apprentice. "Hello Frostpaw. I haven't been doing anything yet but if you'd like, I could show you where the places where some of the herbs are." She replied.

Frostpaw nodded cheerfully. "That would be nice!"
She limped over to her new mentor.

Ooc. Limped? I should read Frostpaw's bio.

Silverlight smiled. "Let's go check with Copperstar first." She said, starting to walk out of the medicine den. Slowly, so Frostpaw could keep up.

Ooc. To the camp entrance! Also, nvm about reading her bio, just saw your signature.

Copperstar padded past, dropping rolls of fresh moss down at the entrance of the den with a smile.

She padded in, her ears slightly flat. "H-Hello?" She asked, "I.. I think I ate bad prey or something.."

Silverlight heard nervous request for help and had been in the back when she heard it. Quickly, she walked up to owner of the voice and discovered it was Shadefeather. "A bellyache huh?" she asked. Examining her herbs carefully, she picked out a few. "Here's some chervil." She explained, pushing the herb towards the warrior. "It will heal bellyaches." She then grabbed another herb. "This is dandelion. It's a painkiller. If the bellyache huts too much I could give you some to chew on." She said. She looked back the other herbs. "Well, I have fennel for hip pain if that's where it hurt; dried oak leaves to prevent infections; and stinging nettles to induce vomiting so we can whatever bad thing you ate out of your system. Do you want of those?" She added.

(Yes! Finally, a cat who gets sick relating to the plot! Dancing around right now!  )

Copperstar padded in, a worried expression filling his face. "You alright?"

Frostpaw opened her one blue eye, and yawned. "What's wrong? Do you need any help, Silverlight?" She mewed, walking over.

(Howl asked me to because he said no one had in TempestClan )

She flattened her ears and let out a soft whimper. "It really hurts," she muttered. "I feel rather dizzy, too." She lay her head down on her paws.

(Yeah, we don't have enough members ):

"Silverlight?" Copperstar turned to the medicine cat, ears flattening as worry crept into his eyes.

Silverlight had a worried look. Swiftly, she grabbed the dandelions and fed it to Shadefeather. Turning to her apprentice, she said "Frostpaw, please fetching the stinging nettles. I need to figure out what's causing her to be so sick."

"I'll leave it to you." Copperstar meowed, then murmured in her head, "the prophecy?" His words were a whisper in the howling wind.

"Of course!" Frostpaw meowed, limping as fast as she could with three useful legs, to the herb store. She carefully smelled each one to be sure that she didn't grab deadly nightshade or something. She grasped the stinging nettles in her jaws, padded over to Silverlight, and sat the bundle down.

Silverlight looked at Frostpaw and Copperstar, who was leaving. "Stand back, I don't want vomit on you." the medicine cat said to Frostpaw. She pushed the stinging nettles towards Shadefeather. "Be warned, these taste foul and will make you vomit." she cautioned and stood back.

Copperstar watched them, cringing.

She was hesitant but swallowed the foul tasting herbs, causing her to reach; bringing up half a mouse and water. She flattened an ear and peered around at the cats in the den.

"Water... Mouse?" He thought back to the prophecy earlier. Water turning red... Copperstar's eyes widened.

Amberpaw stumbles in, collapsing on her stomach with a small groan.

"Amberpaw!" His eyes widened at the sight of his apprentice. "What happened?"

"I stopped to get a drink... I looked closer, the water was tinted red or green, I can't tell... I-" She coughs up a mouthful of bloodyish water.

Silverlight noticed a mouse and strange colored water. Giving Shadefeather dandelions as painkillers and chervil for bellyaches she sighed. Then saw Amberpaw stumble in and cough up blood red water. shocked, she grabbed more herbs. "Chervil, Dandelions, and stinging nettles. Silver walked to the apprentice and said "Eat this, is will get the water out." She once again stood back.

ShadeFeather obeyed the medicine cat, consuming the herbs she gave her then slowly rest her muzzle on her paws. "The.. The water, it tasted weird," she whispered then tiredly buried her head into her front paws.

"Then try avoiding water that seems strange." Silver said helplessly. She just couldn't figure out what was wrong with the wate and then she thought to the prophecy. Coud that have anything to do with the water problem? she shook her head and sighed. "Frostpaw, could you remind me to go with you get more dandelions, chervils and stinging nettles later? We're running low." She asked politely.

Amberpaw coughs up more water, and then groans again, "Mouse bile..."

"What in the name of Starclan?!" Copperstar's eyes widened. "I'm going to alert everyone right now." He streaked out of the den, fur standing on end.

ShadeFeather weakly gazed up to everyone around her, she closed her eyes tiredly and fell asleep in the medicine cat den.

Amberpaw stays awake for a bit, coughing up some more water before falling asleep herself.

Frostpaw nodded, a worried expression filling her face. Everyone else looked very grim. Did they know something she didn't? She shrugged off the thought. Just bad water, right?

Silverlight looked at Frostpaw and widened her eyes. all this time she had kept her apprentice in the dark. "Frostpaw, I must talk to you about something." she said with a serious tone.

"Huh?" Frostpaw said, and walked over to her. "What is it?" She asked, suddenly wondering if she was right.

Silverlight took Frostpaw to the back of the den. In a low voice, she started to explain. "I had a meeting with Copperstar recently." she started. "I had visions of the water turning red, Twolegs, wolves howling at the moon, wolves battling cats and a prophecy." She closed her eyes and began to recite it, still in a low voice. "While the water wakes with a cold dark red, wolves true howls fill the forest with dread, and as three homes collide, the ones without fur take a chance and clean the waters dry. While the dust settles and the forest is split back into four, the ones with no fur will leave ashore. " she finished. Opening her eyes, she warned "But you must tell no one." a stern look in her eyes.

ShadeFeather slowly stirred, her eyes fluttered open. She craned her head up to Silverlight then stretched. "I'm actually feeling much better," she meowed as she managed to get to all four paws. "I'm going to go out and stretch my legs. I will be back if I feel ill again."

Frostpaw glanced around, then nodded. "I will tell no one, I swear to StarClan." She meowed.

Copperstar surveyed the crowd of cats. "Silverlight. I'm taking you on the patrol."

She looked at Frostpaw and nodded solemnly. She looked up at Copperstar, surprised that the leader would take her on a patrol. "Alright, but I'm no good at hunting." She joked, half hoping she could cheer Copperstar up. He looked so serious and perhaps sad. Looking back at her apprentice she said "Frostpaw, tend to Amberpaw and the sick cats while I'm gone. Shadefeather, come back if you need anything."

A small smile entered his expression. "The patrol to Valiantclan, silly." He laughed and gestured for her. "Let's go now."

Silver nodded and followed. She hesitated, looking back. Sighing, she slowly left with Copperstar. They'll be alright. What could go wrong? she thought, a knot in her stomach growing. Whenever someone thinks that something bad always seems to happen. Shaking her head, she looked ahead.

A fluffy creamy she-cat padded into the den. A deep wound - claw marks, on her left cheek. "Are you busy?" She meowed, respectfully. "I was attacked at the Pond by a loner," she explained, "CopperStar showed up and we fought him off. He left but I was unable to escape without a wound to show for it," she said, managing a small smile. "Do you think I'll live?" She asked, throwing a joke into the conversation, a smile splitting across her muzzle.

"You mouse-brain." Copperstar bumped into her gently, a small smile tugging at his lips despite their earlier encounter. "I won't permit it."

Frostpaw nodded at Silverlight as she left, then glanced at Shadefeather. "I had a feeling something bad would happen if you left this den." She said, closing her two-colored eyes and shaking her white-furred head solemnly. She opened her eyes again and smirked. "I guess you'll just have to stay here for the rest of your life!" She joked, and limped over to the herb store. "Oh, I'm kidding! How deep does the wound feel?" She meowed, staring at all the herbs and sniffing them carefully, silently going through them all in her head to see which one would be most useful.

The leader watched the medicine cat apprentice, pride filling his eyes.

ShadeFeather stifled a giggle of delight, her fluffy gray tail flicked at CopperStar teasingly. "Oh, I don't think it's too deep," she said to FrostPaw. Blood from the wound on her cheek was still trickling down her face, but only very slowly - indicating that the wound was not too serious. The wound was not too deep, either, but, deep enough to cause pain. "You seem to have got much more confident with your herbs, FrostPaw," she said as she smiled.

"I know. I saw a lot of cats get better, and even though I hide the fact that I get scared when theres serious injury because I'm afraid that I will pick the wrong herb, I usually always go over them all to be sure. - Ah, here's the herbs I was looking for. Do you need any dandelion for pain?" She meowed, and grabbed comfrey root, dock, and goldenrod. She sat near Shadefeather, and began to chew the herbs into a poultice. She pressed it over the wounds on her, and on her face where it was bleeding. She then grabbed small pieces of cobwebs, putting them on the wounds that were bleeding. She then grabbed catchweed and put them around the areas that she put the poultice on, to keep it in place. "Don't move around too much or the poultice will come off." She meowed, inspecting her work closely so that she could be sure she didn't forget something. "You should rest for a little while here. Once you feel better enough, you can return to your normal duties. Be careful near that area again, rogues seem to be showing up a lot." She mewed.

Copperstar smirked, flicking his tail to the side. "We'll deal with them."
