Aiyana's and Okami's nest.

Fenris couldn't help but freeze up when he felt the alphess's pelt gently against his, the gesture was all too familiar with what Waya used to do. He hung his head sadly, but respectfully. "I know... thank you." He said to both Okami and Aiyana. "My heart remembers things that I'd rather forget." He muttered more distantly, as memories of his siblings washed over him. As fast as the memories came though, he forced them away. Fenris shook his head.  "I have a question... it might seem a little weird."

The Alpha gave him a sympathetic smile then tilt his head. "A question?" He seemed baffled, but, curiosity tempted him, "Go on."

He looked down at his paws, almost embarrassed to be asking this. "There was a place in the meadows just outside our borders where Waya and I met for the first time, during a storm." The Beta's gaze turned soft as he remembered the memory, it felt so long ago now...he looked up at Okami respectfully. "Could I travel there, just until next sunrise? I wouldn't want the pack thinking I've turned my back on them.... I'd like to honor Waya in my own way."

Asha steins into the den, not realising she was inturupting quite an important conversation. "I have had it with them thinking they are better than me! Why can't they just accept me for who I am?! Am I not allowed to be angry or hot-headed sometimes?! Obviously not around them, I mean of course they are so perfect and all!" She growls to nobody in particular.

"Asha," Alpha Okami spoke firmly, yet his eyes were soft. "Next time you enter the den, please ensure you are not interrupting an important conversation," he said, his muzzle had a small frown across it. "Asha, we'll talk to you soon," he said, his tone lowering into a soft tone, "This discussion with Beta Fenris should not last too much longer."

She growls, turning her back to her father before fleeing the den.

He looks over at Asha as she pads out of the den. "Is she going to be alright?" Fenris asks quietly, a flicker of concern in his gaze.

The Alpha slightly frowned at his daughter's reaction, he released a slow sigh and shook his head. "As a pup, she had this insane curiosity and you could tell she wanted to be powerful and high-up within the pack. That trait or goal is not bad, in fact, it is something to work for. But, it seems..As she has got older, she has became more ambitious and possibly used the fact that her parents are Alphas to try and get away with such things like disrespect or so.. It is how it seems when she is angry at least. She can be rather.. Moody sometimes, but, I know..Deep down, my sweet pup is still in there. She must just be having a bad day. I try to be harsh on her, although it is hard because she's my kin. I worry about her..She has changed so much from when she was just a young pup. Perhaps..I ought to get Adanya to keep an eye on her," he said. He alpha quickly pushed the thought from his mind and gave a slow nod to Fenris. "You may honor Waya's death in a way which you feel is right," he said, "But, you will be gone no longer than 2 sunrises. The pack still needs you."

The Beta nodded solemnly; listening intently to what Okami had to say. "It might be good to keep an eye on her and Dakoda. From I've seen, those two are together quite a bit; maybe see what is happening from his point of view?" He suggested after the Alpha had finished, not really that familiar with pups to begin with it was merely a guess. Afterwards. Fenris dipped his head gratefully. "Of course, no more than two sunrises should be fine... thank you."

"Try and be back before Ravinto," he barked. The Alpha then tilt his head to Aiyana and licked her muzzle. "I'm going to go and check on the two pups," he said to her, "I'll be back soon." The black alpha quickly ducked out of the den.

"Ravinto? Heh..." Fenris smirked coldly to himself, as he padded out of the Alpha's den. I doubt I'll be much fun to be around anyway. But... it's Alpha Okami's orders. His thoughts trailed off as he looked over his shoulder, smirk vanishing, and he indifferently dipped his head once more. "I won't miss it.... thanks again." He barked back, before disappearing from the den.

The Delta entered, dragging behind him a leg. A carcass of a deer. He backed himself up, then released the large meaty leg and stepped to the side, "I thought you both may be hungry," he barked, before ducking out.

The Beta padded in panting hard, as if he had been running for a while. "Alpha Okami, Alphess Aiyana.... I've made a decision." He barked, slowly gaining his breath.

The large black male entered and eyed the fresh deer leg. He smiled in content then tilt his head to Fenris, "Ah, Fenris," he barked. "A decision? What kind of decision?" He tilt his head to the side.

The Tundra wolf paused for a minute, looking around to try and figure out where the bark was coming from. "Oh, sorry!" He hastened to apologize as Fenris finally spotted Alpha Okami. For ruining your mood. He added to himself with a pang of guilt. He took a deep breath. "An important one- I've decided to step down from my rank as Beta." Fenris barked carefully, waiting to see Okami's reaction.
