"This den is too tiny! It was a den that prey lived in before we expanded it!" The younger, fluffy calico she-cat complained, her green eyes glazing with discomfort. "Fine! We'll move!" Slope had said. Finally they found a den where a rogue seemed to be using beforehand. "Why are you in my new den!" A rogue snarled. What? Slope thought. "Get OUT!" The gray she-cat demanded. "We didn't know anyone was in it! We need a place to sleep!" Maple mewled desperately. "Oh. I thought you were someone else. Nevermind. The lighting in here is ridiculous." The cat mewed, and looked away awkwardly. "Still, please leave. This is my territory." She said. Slope stood up straight, and walked so she was in front of her little sister. "You have enough room in here!" She retorted bravely. "I guess so." She meowed. "I know what you're trying to do. Fine. You can stay here for the moment." She meowed with a sigh. "My name's Storm. This is the den I just moved in to." She explained. "Oh. Sorry for our intrusion." Maple mewed to her.
A large oily black tom strolled past. His golden yellow eyes glanced in the direction of the other cats, but his expression remained calm and cool.
Slope looked over at the sleek tom from inside the den. She tilted her head slightly in curiosity. "Hello." She meowed. Huh? Storm thought, spinning around, and then seeing that there was someone there. Her fur flattened, as it was not anyone she knew. She relaxed, and casually licked a paw.
