Dynamicstar nods to Lizardbelly, "Very much so!" He mews, trying to sound more alert than he actually is. The glossy furred tom-cat turns to Salmonsplash, "Remember to check the borders if you do go hunting, I haven't been up to it myself and I feel they need to be checked soon."

RoaringFire trotted in carrying a giant fish, heading towards the fresh kill pile. His amber eyes lit up when he saw them and he flicked his fiery tail in greeting.

Mistpaw poked her head out of the Apprentice den, then slid out the rest of the way. She was bored, now, and wanted to get out and do something, but she didn't know who her mentor was.

DynamicStar trots out of his den, glancing around at the felines surrounding him. He had been so caught up in his thoughts he had let his clan fall behind on ceremonies, and now was the time to sort it out.

Dawnpaw hopped to her paws when she noticed cats entering. She gazed around with pale green eyes, trying to find anyone she knew. The white and orange apprentice then saw Mistpaw and padded over to greet her. "Hi Mistpaw." Dawnpaw mewled in greeting to the other apprentice.

Minnowpaw slunk around the camp entrance. He saw Dawnpaw and Mistpaw and tried to smile genuinely at them, but failed, and ended up doing a weird looking smirk-type thing. He sighed inwardly. It was going to be hard making new friends, after his litter mates left him alone.

Pallidpaw drew in a shallow breath.

'Keep quiet. Don't speak. They won't bother with you.'

Her feathered tail descended rather close to the ground, barely grazing it. As her vision wavered over the other cats, Pallid stiffened imperceptibly.

'Don't speak...don't speak...'

Even then, her right fore-paw twitched slightly with a sort of...excitement. Anticipation. For what, she was not quite sure, but it was there. The apprentice’s trepidation began to blossom on her facial expression, but she managed to conceal it promptly.

The other apprentice's sudden vocalization disrupted Pallid's contemplation. Her pupils dilated for a moment before reverting to their previous size.

'I'd best acquaint myself with some. This isn't for anything other than survival...'

Finally, mustering enough what some would refer to as “audacity,” she poked her head out of the den. Pallid’s breathing quickened immediately, and she was pondering upon whether to keep herself unveiled for all eyes to see, or to return back to the shadows; her rightful place.

Resolving on the former, Pallidpaw stole a fleeting glance at Salmonsplash. Her fringed auditories twitched, swiveling to the side occasionally as her mind thoroughly interpreted the voices ringing around her.

'An introduction...Hello...I suppose that would do.'

Pallid’s breath caught in her throat.

‘No...no...no…You mustn't speak…no…don’t speak…You mustn't speak. They mustn't know…’

Marigoldsky padded in, a frown creasing across her muzzle. She sat down and wasn't really her friendly, cheerful self. She rememvered when she padded the Sombreclan border - she longed to pad in there, and somehow, somehiw there was this urging feeling. Plus...strangely, she seemef tk regonize the SC territory.

Pallid swallowed and stood there, idly, with little idea of what she was going to perform next.

Speak?

Listen?

Simply stand?

Somehow, it was difficult for her to be resolute on one. The first was impossible, the second was always done unintentionally, and she did such all the time. Perhaps the last would do.

Merely standing, hoping that no felidae would notice. Pallidpaw secretly wished that one would notice, so that maybe she wouldn't be so alone after all. That wouldn't do. She had learned, long, long ago, that wishing was useless. Futile. An utter waste of time and energy. Perhaps it was true. Perhaps wishing really didn't do anything after all. But she still did so, for reasons beyond her understanding.

A young white and orange apprentice paced around the clearing, becoming more and more restless with every passing moment. After a few more paces, the six moon old apprentice caught sight of Pallidpaw and padded over. "Hi there! I'm Dawnpaw, what's your name?" She asked the other apprentice cheerily, her energetic trait showing clearly.
