Hunting!

RevealedStar strode into the gorge with a cheerful beam, waiting for her members.

He swiftly follows, glancing back to see if Patient was behind him.

She followed in after Abrupt, smiling.

RevealedStar purred loudly as she gazed at her clanmates. "Shall we hunt?" She asks, just as when a bird soared by, close enough for her to jump and get it. She leaped quickly, catching the bird with her paws and dragged it down, giving it a quick blow on the neck.

The tom smiles, drinking in the scents of the gorge.

"Good kill," she said. Her eyes scanning the walls of the gorge with interest.

Just a few fox-lengths away, a rather plump vole darts out of the cracks, it's eyes wild. A young eagle swoops down, catching the vole, but AbruptFlash leaps onto its back and kills it swiftly, getting the freshly killed vole out of its talons.

She scanned the gorge for prey and then exclaimed, "Great kill, AbruptFlash!" She calls with a warm smile, flicking her tail.. "That was a great leap."

She licked her paw and drew it across her ears when a mouse scurried out from a fallen log. It caught her attention and without hesitation the lithe she-cat dropped into a crouch and stalked it. Concentration growing in her amber eyes. She leaped forward and killed it instantly.

He grins, "Thank you!"

She was proud of her warriors. They felt more like a clan now. A water vole was sniffing at the stony ground near the gorge. She streaked right away to the vole, killing it swiflty with her paws, lifting her head.

He grins, "I think we have hunted enough now, shall we go back to camp or do you want to hunt more?"

She laughed, bumping into him playfully. "Well, what do you think? I'm pretty sure we hunted enough for four cats." A wide smile splits across her muzzle as she carefully collected her prey. "Shall we go?"

She turned to Abrupt and smiled, the mouse still in her jaws.

He smiles back at her, the vole in his jaws as he nudges Patient playfully.

She padded back to camp.

Copperstar rested on a low overhanging branch lazily, green eyes closed peacefully.

ShadeFeather trotted up to the edge of the gorge, her eyes dove down and searched the emptiness. She neatly sat down on the edge and sighed, thinking of her life and her accomplishments. She was happy with how it turned out. She licked her left grey paw, swiping it across her face.

The large tom smiled as he spotted the warrior, but made no move to get up. Clan life is wonderful. I'm glad to have been taken in by Revealedstar.

She closed her eyes, relaxing as the sunshine warmed her patchy pelt. An image flashed through her mind. A tom. She quickly flattened her ears, pushing the image from her mind. Stop haunting yourself, ShadeFeather! The she-cat shook her head, emitting another sigh. She slowly got to her paws and began to pad back to Camp when she sighted the leader on the branches. "Oh, hello," she said, "I didn't realize you were here!" She warmly offered a smile.

The large tom blinked away his thoughtful expression and emitted a loud purr. "Shadefeather." He wrapped his tail around his paws, nodding his head in greeting. "Was something bothering you?" He tilted his head curiously, green eyes tinted with a hint of concern.

She flattened an ear, her eyes fixed on him. Is he concerned for me? Why? No, I must be imagining things! No one is ever usually concerned for me...Not in moons, anyway. "Before I came here," she began, "A tom caused a lot of issues for me. I could not go anywhere without someone trying to rip my tail off." The she-cat sadly formed a smile across her muzzle. "For some reason, the memory came back to me," she explained. "But, I have said enough," she said, her eyes adverted from the tom.

"You're in a clan now, Shadefeather. We'll protect you." A sad smile marked his expression. "I'm sorry you had to go through that. I'll make sure that you'll be safe from now on." He rested his muzzle on her head briefly, a cheerful grin plastered onto his muzzle.

She gazed up at him, a heartfelt smile came to her muzzle. "Thank you," she said, her eyes closed briefly. When she reopened them, she softly began to purr. "I am so thankful that I have found TempestClan. In a way, I am glad times were hard..If they were not, I would have never found TempestClan. I'd have never found my home, my true home."

"At least, you know that you'll have something, a place, others around you, to look forward to at the end of the sunrise." He murmured absently, eyes half-closed. A faraway look entered his expression. "Before I joined Tempestclan, I was a loner, just barely getting by." He smiled, content as his gaze rested on her. "And that I have so many cats around me whose presence I can appreciate."

She pricked her ears forward and listened to the tom. A calm and genuine smile came to her expression. "Really?" She hadn't thought he had been a loner, she assumed he had been clan-born, learned the way of the warrior at 6 moons just like any clan-kit. "You found TempestClan and made it your home. As have I and possibly many others." She smiled in bliss, "It seems.. TempestClan is a fresh start, a new start." A purr rose in her throat. "What made you join a clan?" She asked out of curiosity.

The tabby smiled pleasantly, glancing at his surroundings. "We might not be the largest or the oldest clan around; but, perhaps, for the better. For we are closer that way." A purr rose in his throat. "You would never have guessed. I resented the clans." A flick of an ear. "But then I met Revealedstar. She was the first cat who I looked up to. She taught me the way of the clans and I grew into this system, gradually." A faraway look entered his expression. "I had no formal ceremony into the clan, but before I realized it, I was already part of everything. What about you?"

A blissful smile came to her expression. "That's amazing," she said, almost breathless in amazement. "It's funny how one cat can change your life." The fluffy she-cat leaned back, slightly, pausing to think where to begin. "Well," she said, "I was born and raised in SombreClan. My parents and my sister were all talented warriors. I was happy." She glanced away and squeezed her eyes shut as if trying to hide the memory. She opened her eyes and emitted a sigh. "I was happy until LightningStar decided to make my life a nightmare. I told you he was protective of his son. Who knew someone would go that far to "protect" their son when he was never in danger." She flicked her fluffy tail across her paws. "My sister, DoveWing was murdered one sunrise. LightningStar accused me. I loved my sister," her voice began to break, her head shook slowly. "I would never have harmed her. But, who would question a leader? Especially LightningStar." A single tear ran down her face but she hurriedly brushed it away. "Basically, I was forced from the clan. No one believed me. No one trusted me. They wanted me gone. I know it was LightningStar who killed her. But, as I said, who would dare question him?"


She has such a dark and dramatic past. O.O xD

SorrowSong pads by with a dip of her head then perks u. Her green eyes darts to a vole nearby, and as quick as lighting, she streaked over, slamming her paw on,it before giving it a quick bite.

Copperstar watched her silently, ears flattening as she progressed. "I..." He stepped closer, eyes widening by just a fraction of a mouse-length. "I'm sorry." He felt her pain as if it were his own, and pushed his nose into her fur silently. "That must have been terrible." He meowed, somewhat dumbfounded, unable to find words to express his emotions. "I'm sorry." He repeated again, eyes gentle. "It's okay." His tail brushed the side of her cheek gently, comfortingly.

Liquid swelled in her misty blue eyes. ShadeFeather held back the tears and managed a vague smile - admiring his comfort. The cat's pale fluffy ears drooped, falling flat against her skull. "It was terrible, it was like a nightmare..Playing over and over," she paused, "It's funny, I had actually started to forget the memories, the pain. I can't believe he is back." She gently nuzzled CopperStar and slowly exhaled a sigh. "I will not let him hurt anyone else I care about," she said, firmly, the tears gleaming in her eyes. ShadeFeather slowly shook her head then buried her nose into CopperStar's shoulder. "Thank you so much. You've been so wonderful - always here for me. I don't know what I'd do without you."

His eyes hardened, a stab of hatred coursing through his body. How dare he do this to her... He smiled at her. "I'll make sure he never comes near you again." The tabby vowed, eyes softening just a fraction. "Of course I would be there. I'm your friend, right?" A cheeky grin filled his expression, flicking her ear with his tail.

She elevated her head, observing his expression. "Of course," she meowed. Her frown slowly diminished and was replaced by a vague smile.

Heatflow padded to the Gorge sniffed and tasted the air for prey scent. He looked over his shoulder to see if Sandcloud was following.

The ginger she-cat was right behind him. She raised her head, scenting the air.

Heatflow spotted 2 mice squeaking a conversation with each other. He crouched down and stalked closer to the 2 mice, hoping he wouldn't scare them away from his paw steps. With unsheathed claws he leaped and landed on them. One paw on one mouse and the other on the other mouse. He ripped the mice off his claws, one by one, and picked them up in his jaws. "Your turn." He purred to Sandcloud, gently bumping his side into hers and waited for her.

(Leafy is my VC med-cat lol, this Sandcloud) "OK" Sandcloud surveyed the area, and she spotted three plump mice."Oooh this should be fun." Sandcloud dropped into a hunter's crouch and slowly stalked up to them, hoping they would stay put. Then, she pounced on them, she grabbed one in each paw and one in her mouth."Your turn." She purred, "nice catch by the way."

"You too." Heatflow purred back. He spotted one young, plump mouse that had its back turned from Sandcloud and him. Heatflow crouched and stalked silently up to it. An ear flicked, made some noise but the clueless mouse still had its back turned away from them. "The young one probably has no clue how to use ears yet..." He silently mewled with amusement before he made his leap. Heatflow found his paws pinning the young mouse down and picked it up in his jaws. "We can stop anytime you want." He meowed as he plopped the young mouse on top of the 2 other mice. Then, he sat down next to the kill.

"You can decide when we leave." She mewled in reply, and scented the air. She caught mouse scent. "Man, this place is like mouse central." The she-cat dropped into a crouch, heading towards the scent. She halted by a mouse nest. "Ooooh." She mewled. Sandcloud thumped on the nest, scaring out some mice. She snatched them with swift paws, and padded back to Heatflow and dropped four more mice.

"That's a gigantic catch!" Heatflow exclaimed. "I think we caught enough prey. Let's head back to put it in the fresh-kill pile." He meowed to Sandcloud as he picked up the 3 mice he had caught in his jaws. "I only caught 3 mice." He mentioned through the mice in his jaws. "You think you'll need help carrying your catch? You caught 7. Maybe I can carry... 2 or 3 mice for you?" He mewed and offer to Sandcloud before waiting for her reply.

ShadeFeather trotted through, glancing across to the other warriors. "Hey! Woaah," she meowed, "Nice catch!"

"Yea can you help me?" Sandcloud mewled and picked up four of the mice.

"Of course I will." he purred as he picked up the 3 other mice. He looked at Shadefeather who had just commented on Sandcloud's catch. "She is very good at catching prey." Heatflow meowed. "Ready to go Sandcloud?" he questioned through a mouthful of mice.

"Yea, this should be nice to add to the fresh-kill pile." She purred and started off.

"Off to the fresh-kill pile then." Heatflow meowed as he walked along to the fresh-kill pile.

"Brilliant catches." Copperstar purred loudly as he brushed past them, eyes warm.

ShadeFeather bumped gently into CopperStar as she gazed out to HeatFlow and SandCloud, "Aren't they?" A large smile split across her muzzle as she flicked her tail side to side.

Heatflow came charging in and stopped. He glanced around. "Burnpaw, still nothing." he mewed over his shoulder before turning to go to the camp clearing.

"This will take forever!" he mewled loudly

The warrior charged in after them and hissed, "Don't forget about me!" She snapped in HeatFlow's ear before turning and padding aimlessly out of the territory.
