The Lost Kit's Hideout -Open; Anyone Can Join In-

On the western side of the plain, in a moist, molding fallen log lay a small gray tabby kit. She absently licked one of her white-toed paws, searching for something worth thinking about other than her family, who she'd recently been separated from. She rose to her paws, shaking out her thick, patterned fur. She satisfyingly stretched once before slowly padding out of her small log. She recoiled sharply and squinted a bit when she emerged into the bright sunlight. The she-kit forced her yellow-green eyes to adjust to the glare of the sun's rays and blinked about as the sky reflected off of her eyes with little glints of blue. She opened her small maw, letting any scents in the area reach her scent glands, checking if anything was amiss...

A large shaggy unkempt tom padded nearby. The cat peered into the distance, his golden yellow eyes narrowed slightly. Rivalry, the lone cat padded up to the she-kit, somewhat wary of her, despite her age. "Hello," he said.

The small kit smelled the tom before she saw him. "Oh. Ah, hello..." she muttered in reply. She fought to keep her fur from bristling at the sight of this stranger. "I haven't seen you around before. Who might you be?" She spoke quite formally for such a young cat. She stood straighter, her tail twitching slightly.

"Rivalry," he replied, shortly after examining the she-cat. His golden eyes softened, slightly, realizing that she was just a kitten, "And you are?"

"Me?" she mewed, then realized that, of course, there was no one else in the area. "I'm Cirrus. What are you doing in this part of the plains?" she wondered idly out loud.
"Oh, hey! Is that your place over there?" Cirrus called as she looked back in the direction of Rivalry's den. "I'm going to go see it, if you don't mind!" With that, the little gray tabby kit bounded off to the abandoned fox den.

Rivalry narrowed his eyes, again, feeling slightly uncomfortable at the thought of another cat snooping through his den. He dashed after her, quick to get back to his den.
