HowlingStar began to laugh, "Impossible," he said, shaking his head in disbelief. "My father is dead. He died moons ago," he leader shook his head again, adamantly.

Her eyes flicker with confusion, as she wasnt here the first place. Instead, she stayed,put.

PigeonFeather observed the leader then glanced back across to LightningStar, intrigued to know where the conversation would lead.

The apprentice slinked back further and huddled up beside the deputy. "What is happening?" She softly whispered - not too loudly, as she did not want to disrupt HowlingStar and the loners.

Lightning leaned forward, the moonlight shining down onto the oily tom's pelt; lighting his face. "Did he?" The sly tom revealed a crooked smirk, "Did you bury his body? Did you watch the blood pour from his wounds? Did you share tongues with him?" A dry cackle of laughter came from the cat. "HowlingWind - Oh, its HowlingStar now, isn't it? I always knew my plan would work. You and your succession, I mean." He continued to smirk, "So.. What are you waiting for? Are you going to welcome me back?"

MarigoldFlame gazed at HowlingStar uneasily, not certain should he chase the rpgue off.

The she stared in shock, taking note of how the rogue knew his warrior name. Her gaze flickered to Howlingstar uncertainly, their ember depths spelling out her curiosity.

Dusk narrowed his eyes. Don't do it. His mind was snarling.

She gently leaned against Chestnut. "Do you know whats happening....?"

HowlingStar slowly shook his head in disbelief, "H-How? The battle! - We saw you. LionBreath.." he lowered his head, unsure how it was even possible. He looks the same as he always has. How is he alive? Where has he been this whole time? My father.. It seems so unreal that he is alive, but, it is him. It definitely is.

The silver-tabby's thoughts were interrupted as he sighted the leg wound on his father. "What happened?" HowlingStar slowly sighed and glanced across to the SombreClan cats gathered around. "This is LightningGrowl, a former leader of SombreClan. We will take him back to our Camp where PebbleStorm can tend to his wounds." HowlingStar cast his gaze to his father, his tone somewhat uneasy, was he afraid of his own father? He had never told his father what to do, it was always the other way around. "I will bring you back to the camp, but, I will not accept you back as a warrior until I know what happened that night of the battle. You are to explain yourself. It was you that taught me, to run is to be a coward."

 HowlingStar turned his back on his father, confusion swelling in his head. "I am sure you have not forgotten your way," he called back to Lightning. HowlingStar gently bumped against ChestnutPool and PigeonFeather. His tone barely audible, "Keep an eye on him..."

MarigoldFlame slipped by HowlingStar, looking serious. "Is there anything I cpuld do to help?" She meows in a low tone.

"Fetch LightningGrowl some fresh-kill and take it to the medicine cat den. I assume he will be staying a while as that leg does not look like it will heal anytime soon," he revealed a kind smile to MarigoldFlame then turned back, waiting for LightningGrowl.

"Of course," She meows with a dip of her head. She starts to pad back to camp before pausing. "HowlingStar? If there is anything I can do to help, tell me. I'll do my best." A blissful smile splits across her muzzle as she twitched her ear, and left to fetch prey and such

"I appreciate it," he said, bowing his head.

She nodded with a warm smile, and darted to camp

Chestnutpool barely nodded, keeping her facial features under a mask as she turned to Lightninggrowl. "It's an honor." She dipped her head slightly, trying to overcome her shock.

Oh, the chaos has just begun. Dusk shivered as he watched the cats leave, then his eyes lit up as if he had an idea. But for now, he just sat and watched, waiting for most every cat to leave. His heart ached with suspicion and his mind swirled with uncertainty, but he knew what he was to do.

She nodded obediently to HowlingStar then whirled around to face Dusk. A light hiss came from her muzzle, "Why are you still listening into our conversation!?" She snapped, "Go back to your den. Our business does not concern you." She spoke then glanced down to IciclePaw, "Come on, sweet," she said, softly. The deputy felt the awkwardness between the leader and his father, unsure how to treat LightningGrowl. "Welcome back," she said to him.

HowlingStar observed his deputy, nodding at her in satisfaction.

He lifted an eyebrow. "For the record, I am not on your territory, but I am leaving anyways..." He looked at Lightning as he stood up. "Welcome back.." He hissed through his teeth and walked through the undergrowth, supposedly disappearing.

Lightning cocked a smirk at the loner, somewhat delighted at the cat's hostility. The midnight oily tom slinked towards the camp, knowing the way as if he had never left.

Dusk rolled his golden eyes in the foliage and walked off. That clan is in for it.

PigeonFeather padded along the border, marking her scent across the ferns.

FlamingShadow pads by, her sleek pure black fur ruffling against the wind. She gazed at the border, and lifted her head, observing the lands beyond the border. Parting her jaws, she was surprised the border-scent-whatever you call it - was faint. Then, she smirked. Interesting, she muses, flicking an ear. An excited smile dances on the edge of her muzzle. Perhaps...I'll join and see what's it like. Perhaps. Then she shrugged, staying nearby as she started to hunt on her side of the border.
