The Rendezvous Den

Having finished her Sun-high to Twillight patrol, Katani padded into The Rendezvous Den, circling in her nest, lined with Heron feathers. "Almost a Sentinel, now Katani!" She whispered happily to herself. "Just three months now!" She leaped out of her nest, happily prancing around it, then, hearing a shuffle outside, snuggled back down in the nest and quickly fell asleep."

Katani settled down in her nest, moaning quietly in pain, not just physical either. She had spotted Shanook with another wolf, and that hurt her. The other pain was that she had dislodged her shoulder bringing down an elk. "No-wolf cares anyway, I'm just a useless pup, every wolf's mooning over the alphas pups." Katani's blood red fur bristled in anger. She howled quietly to herself for about 5 minutes then fell asleep in agony.

Lyra reaches the entrance and looks sadly at Katani, She looks hurt... Maybe I could help, but... She curls up in her own nest after circling in it several times, attempting to sleep.

Katani woke up, her shoulder agonising, but grateful for her friends for helping her. "Why did Shanook want to help me?" She whispered to herself in thought. He obviously like Lyra more. "Better get myself to Bevin before this gets infected. I want to talk to Shanook when I have the time too.Find out about what he's doing. Who he likes." Realising she'd said this aloud, she bit on her tail in frustration, hoping no wolf heard her. Then, she got up again and went to the Shamans Den.

Lyra moves a little, still asleep.

When Katani gets back from the Shamans Den, she decides to check on her new friend to see if she's up yet. Peering in, she notices Lyra is sound asleep so Katani nuzzles her ear then backs out again, not wanting to wake her.

A bit later Lyra yawns widely and stands up. She looks around, seeing that Katani's nest is empty, and exits the den quietly.

Dakota, the curious pup tramples past. He gazed into the den then decided it was safe to walk in. He sniffed an empty nest and howled in delight, "I'll be in here soon!" He playfully swiped a paw at one of the nests. His amber eyes searched the floors and walls of the den, taking in all the features and sights to be seen. He could hear the wind, outside the den, rustling the leaves in trees. Dakota bent his ears, pointing outside; listening to the sounds. Oh, if mom or dad finds me in here.. I might be in trouble. He quickly frowned and scampered out.

Katani slides into the Rendezvous Den, sadness crashing over her in waves. "Oh well, you'll find another." She had found out who the Delta female was. Sighing she thought 'You wouldn't have gotten him anyway, you're a pup.' Katani gave up, lying down in her nest, hurt, but ready to start afresh.

Dyani padded past the Rendezvous Den. She flicked her ears then drew closer to the entrance. She knew this wolf, she had often seen her around Shanook. She lowered her head in shame, feeling sympathetic for her. In her eyes, I'm the other wolf.. I'm the one after the wolf she likes. But, in my eyes..It's her who is after the wolf I like.. "Hey," she said, softly. "Are you okay? I mean, I know you're upset but.. Shanook has not picked a mate yet. I do like him, a lot and I know you do as well." She flattened her ears but managed a smile. "Whoever he chooses, he will be extremely lucky, regardless." She bowed her head then slipped out of sight. She wanted to be kind, to be warm towards Katani; not cause an issue between them.

Lyra pads into the den and sits near Katani, "If you need anything, I'll help you."

(Keep in mind, the pack is currently scarce for prey! It's decreased dramatically! )

Dipping her head to Lyra, Katani responded,"He chooses uou. I know he does." Padding out of the Den seeing the kills pile is low, she races out of camp to hunt.

Lyra tilts her head. But... What? How is that..? He likes Katani... She follows Katani, barking, "Hey, wait a second!"

A pup bounded in with excitement. "Hi!" SHe barked.

Dakota trampled in, curiosity gleaming in his eyes.

Asha follows her brother, delight gleaming in her eyes.

"I can't believe it!" Dakota said with a wide grin. "What are you going to be? Sentinel or Scout?"

She smiles, "Scout!" Before adding, "What about you?"

He frowned slightly, "I'm not sure. Maybe a Sentinel!" Dakota smirked and gently nipped at his sister's ears.

"Hunting?" She barks, smirking, "I always though you where more clumsy. I would much rather fight for the pack!"

Dakota playfully growled and swiped a bulky paw out at her. "I'm not sure, mom said I could experience the two and then decide," he said, grinning.

Akira barked as she charged in. O.O "HI!" She swiped her paws out at Asha and Dakota. "I'm Akira!"

Asha turns her muzzle up at the new-comer, avoiding her paw. "I am Asha. And this is my brother." She barks boldly, indicating to the other wolf behind her.

"Nice to meet you both!" Akira kindly smiled. "This so so cool! We're all in here together, I was worried I was going to get lonely."

She nods, eyes narrowed as she turns back to her brother.

Jaro trampled into the den, an optimistic grin splashed crookedly across his muzzle. "Hello!" He barked, stopping when he saw the other rendezvous pups. "I'm Jaro!" His amber eyes cheerfully glimmer, cream smudged pelt rumpled and askew.

She turns to the new-comer, sneering, "Urghh, not anot-" she stops in the middle of her sentence, before reviewing a warm smile. "Hello, I'm Asha." She barks, padding over to him.

The wolf curiously studied the fellow pup approaching him, disregarding her previous sneer. "Nice to meet you!" Jaro barked warmly.

She smiles, cuffing his ears, "You too."

He chuckled, swatting at her muzzle with a cheerful, playul grin.

She grins, "So, want to go play in camp?"

"Sure!" He glanced around with a cheerful grin, waiting for the other pup to lead the way.

The usually rude pup leads out of the den, a cheerful smile on her muzzle.

Jaro tramples after her, grinning his customary grin.

She glances back flicking an ear.

Jaro picked up his pace, barking quietly to Asha. "What are the others named?"

She glances back, eyes bright, "The he-wolf is my brother Dakota.. And I have no idea who she is."

He nodded, surveying the other wolves with curiousity glimmering in his pale amber gaze.

"Who she is?" Akira slightly frowned. "I'm Akira," she bowed her head slightly to Jaro and Asha.

Dakota gave a large smile to the wolves then swiped a paw out at Akira. "Want to go and play?"

Be nice.. Play nice and be respectful.. His fathers words rung in his ears as Atrocity entered. He picked a nest, not caring if it was free or not and sat down in it. He eyed the other pups in the den and slightly frowned.

A tiny head poked inside the den, it's wet, velvety nose twitching with the numerous scents that wafted heavily from her new residence. The newcomer inched forward, a pair of curious, cerulean pools now visible. Sabinx's oculars shot around the den, absorbing the sight rather quickly. I can't do it..so many others! I'll just..oh whatever!! The cub then vanished, darting quickly out of sight of the fellow rendezvous pups. Stupid! Stupid! STUPID!

Jaro tipped his head curiously as the pup entered and then darted out.

The pup bounds over to Jarp, pokng him with one paw.

The off-white coated lupine plopped rather ungracefully just outside the den, chewing her lower lip nervously and staring at her dainty, webbed paws. I won't fit in, I'm too small! The adolescent's matted fur prickled slightly as a frost-bitten wind nipped at her hide.

Akira entered, shyly, her eyes shining.

He glanced inside the den, then slipped out of the entrance and padded to the moutains.

Atrocity glared around at the pups inside and frowned in distaste.
