CricketShade padded in and waited for his team to join him.

Doveheart padded up behind him. The white and grey warrior stretched widely as she waited for the others.

PreyPaw padded in and glanced around. "Hey DoveHeart, CricketShade!" The russet ginger apprentice dipped his head to the two warriors then sniffed the air, trying to scent prey.

"Hey Preypaw." Doveheart mewled, but soon caught sight of a mouse and went after it. She soon came back with it in her jaws.

"Nice kill!" The apprentice exclaimed in awe. He always felt shy about his own hunting abilities, but, now was not the time. The apprentice sniffed the air then lowered his head, trying to pick up a scent. He scented the faint, very faint scent of a mouse. He moved, quickly, careful not to startle it. The fluffy ginger apprentice could see the mouse, not too far away. He stepped closer and closer, the snow muffling the sound of his steps. Once he was close enough, he leaped and killed the scrawny grey mouse. "Hopefully we win this thing!" He said, purring in content.

"Thanks! Nice catch yourself." Doveheart mewled cheerily to him, trying to push away other thoughts. I have to focus on the contest! Nothing else right now, nothing else... She repeated mentally.

Cricketshade chuckled, the bi-colored warrior grinned to his clan-mates then shyly glanced around. "So, I guess we should see what we can hunt," he meowed. The warrior sniffed the air then darted in the direction of the scent of a mouse. The warrior pounced onto some rocks, trapping the mouse. He killed it then brought it over to his group.

CricketShade placed his scrawny kill alongside the others then sighed. "All the prey is so scrawny. But, least it is food in our bellies," he meowed.
