The Fresh-kill pile

HowlingStar entered and placed a small mouse on the pile.

She darts in, a smile of joy on her muzzle. A plump rabbit dangles from her jaws and she got ready to place it there. She hesitates, glancing at HowlingStar's den and pads there instead.

PigeonFeather and EelHeart padded up to the fresh-kill pile, side by side. The lithe she-cat dropped a round, clean white dove whereas the tom placed down a fat ragged squirrel. The two padded out once they had left their prey.

HowlingStar padded in. He approached the fresh-kill pile and began to sniff it. The tom reached his paw in and began to roll the prey in the pile, checking it over to ensure there was no crowfood. The leader stood up a few moments later, a baffled look splattered across his expression. He padded out, his head shaking with confusion. What is this..

"Arrogant attitude coming back again, I see." She replied dryly, a smirk across her muzzle. He's interesting, she mused over it with a flick of her ears, though, a tiny hint of a playful smile was sneaking up on her muzzle.

"The one that's mouse-brained isn't me, CunningBreath. I'm extremely sure that you just confused me and some other one by accident." She lifted her head, raising her 'eyebrows' at him and a vague smirk flicked across her muzzle as she took the rabbit he hunted, starting to eat it.

The leader emerged from the shadows, placing a plump brown furred rabbit on the pile. "I have a feeling I may have to separate you two. Like kits, at each other's throat every time I turn around?" The tom smirked, cheekily.
