Apprentice ceremony

HowlingStar leaped up to the Highbranch. He gazed down to the new loner he had agreed to take in to SombreClan then cleared his throat. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Hightree for a clan meeting!" He called, his voice booming through the Camp. His silver tabby tail flicked across his paws as he stared down to the cats bellow. "Cats of SombreClan, I am pleased to inform you that we have a new cat among us. SombreClan is a strong clan and the more paws we have alongside us, the closer we are and the stronger we become. Icicle, please come forward. This is a proud day for SombreClan, by naming apprentices we show SombreClan will survive and remain strong. From now on until you receive your warrior name you will be known as IciclePaw." HowlingStar revealed a proud smile as his eyes drifted through the crowd of cats. "I have decided that I will take on IciclePaw's training. Passing on my own skills, determination and bravery to her and teach her the skills that will make her a brave warrior of SombreClan!"

HonestyPaw frowned slightly at the thought of the loner joining the clan - not realizing his own mother was originally a loner. I thought only the best apprentices got the leader as a mentor..Not fair! Despite his mood, he cheered out the new apprentice's name. "IciclePaw! IciclePaw!"

The she-cat chanted the apprentice's name enthusiastically, barely feeling the dryness of her throat as warmth overwhelmed her. "Iciclepaw! Iciclepaw!"
